About Me...

Hi there!

I'm Gill Sealey, and I’m thrilled you’ve found your way to Neurospicy Parenting. If you’re a parent who’s tired of the same old advice, looking for practical solutions, and ready to embrace your unique parenting journey, then you’re in exactly the right place.

A Bit About Me
I’m a proud Lancashire lass with a straight-talking, down-to-earth approach—thanks to my roots and a lifetime of learning that life isn’t always sunshine and roses. I’m a mum to a brilliantly neurodivergent teen with ADHD, dyslexia, and high level Autism, and a bit of the neurospicy flavour myself!

With over 20 years as a primary school teacher, I’ve seen it all—the joys, the challenges, the beautiful chaos that comes with raising children. I’ve taken all that experience, plus my qualifications as a certified Life and Happiness coach, and poured it into helping parents like you navigate the wonderfully weird world of parenting.

What I Stand For
At Neurospicy Parenting, we celebrate the gloriously unique. This is a space for the beautifully different, where we don’t just accept diversity—we champion it. Whether you’re a neurodivergent parent, raising a neurodivergent child, or both, I’m here to support you with empathy, understanding, and a whole lot of practical advice.

Let’s also be clear about what Neurospicy Parenting isn’t: it’s not a place for diagnosing conditions or venting frustrations about the system. I’m not a psychologist or a medical professional. What I am is a seasoned educator, a dedicated mum, and your no-nonsense guide to tackling the ups and downs of everyday life with a positive mindset.

My Philosophy
I firmly believe that happiness is a choice we make every day, no matter the challenges life throws our way. As parents, it’s our duty to equip our children with not just practical skills, but also the mindset to choose happiness, resilience, and responsibility.

Here, you’ll find real-life advice on everything from navigating social situations to mastering organisation, and from personal hygiene tips to effective time management hacks. I’m all about giving you the tools to create a calmer, more organised home environment—without sacrificing your sanity!

Why I’m Here
Parenting is the toughest job in the world, and if you’re raising a neurodivergent child, the challenges can be even greater. But that doesn’t mean you have to go it alone. I’m here to share what I’ve learned on my own journey, to offer you the practical support you need, and to remind you that you’re doing an amazing job—even on the tough days.

So, if you’re ready to embrace your inner weirdo, seek solutions with a side of sass, and join a community that’s all about authenticity, then welcome home. Neurospicy Parenting is where the magic happens, and I’m so glad you’re here to be a part of it.

Thank you for being here, and I can’t wait to embark on this incredible adventure with you!

I live with my lovely hubby, gorgeous daughter and our mad cockerpoo at the foot of the Malvern Hills in rural Worcestershire.

This photo shows the best that we could manage when trying to use a self-timer on the phone!

One of us is an excellent ice skater, one of us loves climbing mountains, one swims in the North Sea in February and one loves chasing squirrels - I'll let you work out who's who!
