  • "Playing on your phone, is not getting any revision done"

  • "Do you want to pass these exams?"

  • "If you do an hour of revision now, you can meet up with your mates later"

  • "How can you listen to music and still claim to be revising!"

  • "If you just put some effort in, you could do really well"

I  get it!

Parenting can be incredibly frustrating at the best of times with teens... and throw a dollop of neurospicy goodness into the mix and you can really feel like you're floundering!  What behaviours are due to neurodivergence and what is just 'being a teenager?'

When you see your teen struggling to focus or prioritise their exam preparation it can leave you not knowing how to help. It's natural to want the best for your child and to feel concerned when you see them engaging in distractions or procrastinating. I know first-hand how worrying it can be when you feel like they're not taking their exams seriously or putting in enough effort to succeed. These feelings of frustration and concern come from a place of wanting to see your teen reach their full potential and achieve academic success.

What can you do about it?

Well... that's why I've developed this micro-membership, to offer a comprehensive approach to supporting neurodivergent teens through exam season.

Through a combination of practical strategies, knowledge sharing and open lines of communication, I provide you with the tools you need to guide your teen towards exam success.

We'll address the underlying challenges that may be hindering your teen's ability to focus and engage in effective revision. From identifying their unique learning styles to creating tailored revision plans, my solution empowers you to support your teen in a way that works for them.

Why on earth should you listen to me?

Well, I've been there! As someone who's navigated the challenges of supporting a neurodivergent teen through exam season, every year through high school, I understand exactly what you're going through. My approach isn't just based on theoretical knowledge; it's rooted in real-life experience and proven strategies that have helped my own teen succeed.

With my background in education and a deep understanding of neurodiversity, I bring a unique perspective to exam preparation that prioritises empathy, flexibility, and practicality.

My qualifications in Life and Happiness coaching have added to my understanding and ability to work together to find positive solutions. Add to this a hefty dose of northern common sense and it's a winner!
I will always choose to tell you what you need to know over what you want to hear.

"Gill was so insightful and realistic about routines with the children.  We enjoyed trying out her ideas and look forward to the next challenge."

How does it work?

I call this my 'micro-membership' because it is just that!  It lasts for 7 days in a pop-up Facebook group, during which I share lots of top tips and resources.
It all kicks off on Sunday 21st April when I open the group so that you can pop by and say 'Hello' and make sure that all the notifications are working and you know where we are.

On Monday, we start to look at the specific neurospicy traits in your family and what that means for you with a live introductory webinar: 'Creating a supportive environment for exam success'.

Tuesday and Wednesday mornings start with a very short training and an activity for you to carry out at home.

Wednesday evening brings a Live check-in to see how you are getting on, answer any questions and look forward to what comes next.

On Thursday and Friday mornings, we are back to short trainings and tasks for you to complete, with a juicy webinar on Friday evening helping you 'Hone in on the organisational techniques that work for you'.
I will be around all weekend to answer questions and the whole week wraps up on Sunday evening with a final Live review session as well as prizes for the most engaged participants and an introduction to my CALMED programme.

Phew!  We fit loads into the week!

What if I can't get to the live training or I get behind with the tasks?

Don't worry!  The recordings of all the training will stay up in the group and be clearly labelled so you can find them.  The daily tasks don't need to be done in any particular order, so you can always catch up later.

How do I find the workbooks and resources?

All of the resources will be available in the 'Files' section of the group. You can either print them out or just open them on your device and make notes on paper.  They will all be available as pdf files.

How long will the group stay open for?

The group will be open for a fortnight - so from the 21st April to the 5th May.  You will need to have accessed the training before the 5th -don't worry, I'll remind you!

How much is the micro-membership week?

The cost of the week is just £7 as it is the first time I am running it in this format.  In future, it will be £27.  I will be asking for honest reviews at the end of the week, please.

But I don't 'do' Facebook. Can I access it another way?

At present, this is the only way that the training is being presented.  Feel free to let me know if you have a preferred format.
